Electronic Composer Poltrock shares ‘Titanus’, announces ‘Machines’ LP

German producer and composer, Poltrock, shared a brand new track, ‘Titanus’, from his upcoming LP Machines via his own label Poltrock Music which will be released 16 November. Machines will be the final instalment of his trilogy albums that he aimed to release throughout 2018. Earlier this year, Mutes was released, and 88 days later (just like the keys on a piano), he released Moods.

Poltrock has been inspired and influenced by an eclectic mix of acclaimed musicians such as Jon Hopkins, Ryuchi Sakamoto, Rival Consoles, Tim Hecker, Johann Johannsson and Trent Reznor. Gracing a plethora of sounds, influences and emotions, David Poltrock’s music could be best categorized as a cohesive and intelligent merging of ambient, electronica, techno, house and IDM. Similar to classical and electronic artists and composers such as the organic finesse of Nils Frahm, the emotive heartbeats of Max Richter, mixed together with Stephan Bodzin or Marc Romboy’s skill to adapt to brooding electronic sections, focused in on beat and atmosphere to create something unique and entirely of his own.

The first single from his upcoming LP, ‘Titanus’ takes an ambient approach as it engulfs the listener in smooth electronic sounds, creating an ethereal landscape. The track sounds as if it would be comfortable among the stars as the cosmic soundscape is layered with rich textures with a foundation consisting of a pulsating beat. Soothing piano melodies and swooping string sections come together to culminate in an euphoric experience, allowing the listener to look within and contemplate their place in the vast universe. Poltrock proves yet again that electronic music can be experimented with, pushing the boundaries of his keys’ capabilities.

On the LP, Machines, Poltrock comments: “‘Machines', the final album of the 'Mutes, Moods & Machines' trilogy, is a continuous attempt to make synthetic machines  sound organic and organic instruments sound like machines.”

Sorsari announces ‘Patterns’ EP and releases insane new single, ‘Monster’

It’s not everyday you hear one of the best wave tracks around, and yet, Sorsari did just that.
‘Monster’ is the brand new single from this u and coming wave producer’s upcoming EP, ‘Patterns’ which is scheduled to be released next week (30 October) via the highly influential vibe.digital Recordings

‘Monster’ hits hard with deep cutting bass making it known from the start that he’s not messing around. Sorsari has always delivered some incredible hits, and it’s evident with the release of ‘Monster’ that his EP will delight fans even more. Wave is known for its emotional climbs, but ‘Monster’ opts for a more intense production. The sound is big. The sound is raw. The sound is Sorsari.

The upcoming EP ‘Patterns’, will include 8 brand new tracks including a remix from respected Wavemob producer, Deadcrow. What’s even more astonishing, is that the whole EP was composed, mixed, and produced by Sorsari himself. We’re very excited to see what this Canadian producer will deliver in his upcoming EP, so be sure to watch this space!

Sorsari commented on ‘Monster’: “It’s my take on a what a higher energy wave track means to me, the vocal called out for a bigger sound so I tried to approach it with a mentality that would suit a club or festival environment.  It’s a nice hybrid between 808s and reese play for the sets.”

‘Patterns’ EP Tracklist:
1. Dreamers
2. Will We Ever
3. Monster
4. Patterns
5. Flayed
6. The Great Construct

Darkwave producer, Verasect, releases an experimental EP, ‘Sleep Stories’

The eclectic darkwave producer, Verasect, has independently release a genre-bending EP, entitled Sleep Stories. Currently based in London but born in New York City, Verasect has traveled through the world of music, taking in an element of each genre, which culminates in the thought-provoking almost trip-hop beats of his latest offering. About two months we wrote about the release of 'Catch Your Breath', but the full EP is finally here.

Verasect’s new EP Sleep Stories takes the listener on a haunting journey through sound, captivating with glitch-beats, dark waves of synth and hypnotising female vocals. The EP begins the powerful track ‘Stitch’, a number which is simultaneously fierce and brooding, graced with Amy Kirkpatrick’s vocals and surrounded by Verasect’s skilled manipulation and layering. ‘Tragedy’ is an emotive number that paints a picture of heartbreak and darkness, singing “you’ve been banished from my heart”, undercut by Verasect’s crisp drum-beats that give the track a unique edge. Verasect’s ‘Catch Your Breath’ piques the listeners interest with eerie synth and strong industrial beats from the very beginning of the track and uses Dominique’s vocals to contrast beautifully with the dark electronic drums in the chorus, while the whole EP wraps up with the ethereal ‘Aeon’, the perfect laid-back techno-inspired electronic piece to showcase Verasect’s depth and versatility.

On Sleep Stories, Verasect explains, “After years of writing aggressive music for stomping around a dance floor in an East Village basement club, I wanted to create something more nuanced and balanced. The rawness was dialed down and I brought in pop female vocalists but kept the dark haunting atmospheres that is integral to my sound.”
